The flute is durable and has advantages over cardboard flute in terms of long life, versatility of applications and the possibility for outdoor use.
New Fast Link has been importing its line of corrugated plastic flute board for the past two years and has sold it into a number of industries. Today, for example it is a major supplier of the board used by the Australian Defence Force for range targets. The company is keen to further expand its sales into the point-of-sale and packaging markets.
Its corrugated plastic flute board range comes in white, black and coloured; is lightweight, UV-resistant and corona treated for high quality printing. Among its potential uses is signage, attractive and protective packaging and as an economical and strong replacement for pallets, saving container shipping space.
Plastic flute board is tougher than corrugated cardboard, is waterproof, and both heat- and chemical-resistant, can replace wax cardboard and is reuseable.
